Alden serves as the Manager of Partnerships at The Opportunity Project, supporting our robust network of youth serving organizations in Tulsa. Through her work, she collaborates with community and district partners to promote positive youth development and promote best practices in programming to ensure all young people in Tulsa can thrive.
Her passion for out of school experiences and post-secondary readiness stems from her work with the national education-non profit, Breakthrough Collaborative, and time in the classroom as a special education high school math teacher. Alden attended Arkansas State University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in secondary mathematics education. After college, she joined Teach for America which ultimately brought her to Tulsa in 2019 and allowed her to obtain her Masters in Education Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma.
When not serving students, schools, and partner organizations, you can find Alden spending time with her dog, Merle, working on a puzzle, or checking out the incredible local music scene in Tulsa.
