As Director of OST Integration, Terrie is responsible for the implementation of The Opp’s Expanded Learning Initiative at Tulsa Public Schools’ 27 focus sites. With an eye to continuous quality improvement, Terrie’s main objective is to systematize expanded learning. As such, Terrie also oversees program assessments and professional learning communities.
Formerly, Terrie was a visiting professor at The University of Tulsa; Associate Director of the Youth Philanthropy Initiative (an expanded learning program for local teens); an admissions counselor, academic advisor, and student affairs officer; and an English teacher in Spain and China. Besides education, the golden thread connecting all of these occupations is student development—her passion.
She volunteers to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (serving on the boards of the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice and the Jewish Federation of Tulsa); the arts (as a board member of ahha-Tulsa); and mental and emotional well-being (as a former board president for Mental Health Association Oklahoma). graduate of Leadership Tulsa (Class 46) and was named an Oklahoma Magazine Top 40 Under 40 in 2016.
Terrie loves getting her passport stamped, exercising outdoors, date nights with her husband—especially when dessert is involved, and playing with their two young children.
